The British Luban Workshop, jointly built by Tianjin Economics and Trade School (formerly Tianjin Second Commercial School) and the Chichester College, was inaugurated and launched on May 18, 2017. The goal is to train international Chinese cuisine professionals, which is the second Luban workshop established overseas by Tianjin and the first Luban workshop established in Europe.

The workshop has developed an international teaching standard for Chinese cuisine which has been incorporated into the National Framework for General and Vocational Qualifications in England.

In addition, it has established a Chinese cuisine learning resource that conforms to British educational standards. It published the textbook Chinese Culinary Arts for British Luban Workshop, and built a Liverpool education and teaching center integrating production, education and research, while playing a positive role in promoting the educational standard of Chinese cuisine in the world.
