A delegation of the Tianjin Municipal Foreign Affairs Office visited Saidzoda Zohir Ozod, Tajikistan's ambassador to China, on Oct 19 in Beijing. They exchanged views on the construction of a Luban Workshop in Tajikistan.
Luban Workshop is one of the major achievements of the international development of China's vocational education, said the head of the Tianjin Municipal Foreign Affairs Office. It has developed into a well-known project brand that has originated from and been promoted, organized and implemented by Tianjin for cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
To speed up these efforts, Tianjin will deepen practical cooperation with the Tajikistan Embassy in China and accelerate the construction of the Luban Workshop in Tajikistan, the first one in Central Asia.
The head of Tianjin Urban Construction Management &Vocation Technology College, which is undertaking the implementation of the workshop in Tajikistan, provided some basic information about the college, as well as the process of project preparation.
Saidzoda fully affirmed Tianjin's advantages in vocational education and the remarkable results achieved in the construction of Luban Workshops. He thanked Tianjin for its efforts to promote the construction of a Luban Workshop in Tajikistan to train high-quality talents for the country.
As the first Luban Workshop in Central Asia, the Luban Workshop in Tajikistan has a special and important meaning, Saidzoda noted. This project will provide talent support for the transformation of Tajikistan from an agro-industrial country to an industrial and agricultural country, and play a leading role in the construction of Luban Workshops in other countries in the region.
The embassy will give full support to the construction of the Luban Workshop in Tajikistan and actively provide assistance Saidzoda said, adding that it will work with the Tianjin Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and relevant parties to promote project cooperation to achieve substantial progress.
Saidzoda visited Tianjin on April 16 this year along with the envoys of five countries in Europe and Asia. They inspected the Luban Workshop Construction · Experience Museum and showed willingness to launch a Luban Workshop in Tajikistan after discussions and exchanges with representatives from Tianjin's Municipal Education Commission and colleges.
Tianjin has built 19 Luban Workshops in 18 countries across Asia, Africa and Europe, covering technical fields such as automation, new energy, machinery, automobiles, railways, communications, electronic information, cloud computing, and traditional Chinese medicine.
