Tianjin hopes to become a leader in vocational education in China. On Tuesday, the city’s vocational department revealed six new institutions and centers dedicated to vocational education research, industry-education integration, developmental evaluation, and quality control.
Tianjin educational authorities also drew a bigger picture for international cooperation with plans to further advance the Luban Workshop, a worldwide program launched by the city for technical personnel, and establish a center for vocational development in Africa.
The institutions and centers will team up to form a comprehensive teaching and research system to pilot the establishment of a theoretical system for vocational education development, carrying out targeted, problem-solving research.
They will also form highly-qualified research teams that will provide professional and effective suggestions for vocational education policy, evaluation, international development, textbooks and courses, and teaching research.
