Tianjin launched a celebration on May 28 at the Tianjin Bohai Vocational Technical College, the sponsor of the Thai Luban Workshop, to discuss accelerating the construction of a modern vocational education system and cultivating more high-quality skilled personnel.

Technical college leaders, enterprise representatives and graduates of the workshop from the two countries attended the meeting.

During the event, the former head of the Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Technical College, Jarun Youbrum, was given the Haihe Friendship Award, an award for foreign experts who have had an outstanding impact on Tianjin's economic and social development. The award was handed out during an online segment of the event.

Also, an English-language version of the Luban Workshop's website was rolled out to publicize the project to a larger audience.

Luban Workshop is named for Lu Ban (507-440 BC), a renowned Chinese carpenter, craftsman and engineer.

Tianjin organized, promoted and implemented the famous international vocational education project. It provides technical skills training for college students, enabling them to be market-ready upon graduation.
