Chongtai Countryside Tourist is located in the Linhai Circular Economy Demonstration Zone, occupying more than 133 hectares of land. Construction began in July 2016 and took more than two years, with an investment of over 200 million yuan to complete the first phase of infrastructure construction and ecological environment greening projects. It is committed to creating a modern rural complex that integrates ecological agriculture, agricultural science education, and forest eco-tourism.
With nearly one million plants and grass blankets covering the area, Chongtai Countryside Tourist has dozens of rare tree species such as Betula platyphylla Suk., Ulmus pumila L., Ginkgo biloba L., and Populus simonii Carrière, as well as a 50-acre (300,000 trees) black fruit ribbed Sorbus hupehensis seedling base, with a greening rate of over 70%. The forest eco-tourism sector covers more than 1,000 mu and has been built with the concept of green, ecological, leisure, and experience. Projects that have been completed include a 60,000-square-meter century-old tree forest and grassland, a green plant ecological corridor of more than 500 meters, a 20,000-square-meter forest fruit picking garden, a plant maze of nearly 10,000 square meters, an ecological water system of over 20,000 square meters, a flower sea landscape area of nearly 10,000 square meters, a 30,000-square-meter grass blanket square, an over 80,000-square-meter crabapple viewing garden, and more. Several outdoor practical activities such as light festivals and camping festivals have been held. Basic facilities such as water, electricity, and roads have been fully paved, while the intelligent network coverage of the park has been achieved, and monitoring networks, broadcast systems, and other facilities are all available.
