Established in January 2010 with an investment of nearly 50 million yuan, Tianjin Yuanda Landscape Company covers an area of over 133 hectares. It is the largest North American crabapple park in northern China. The park has planted 230,000 North American crabapple trees of 11 varieties and also has 2,000 Japanese cherry trees, 1,800 magnolias, and 3,000 high-end tree species such as red-flowering peach. The flowers bloom in mid-April, with brilliant colors and charming shapes. In May and June, the trees grow brightly colored new leaves, resembling the beauty of red maple under the sun. By July and August, the trees are full of small, brightly colored crabapples that hang on the tree until the following spring. It is a rare ornamental tree species that combines flower, leaf, and fruit viewing in one. North American crabapple has bright colors and is resistant to salt-alkali, cold, drought, and waterlogging, adapting to the ecological environment of the northern region.
