Tianjin's Tiankai Dongli Park — a core component of the Tiankai Higher Education Innovation Park — has rapidly grown into a cluster for emerging industries, innovation, and talent since its launch in November 2024.

Located in the Dongli Airport Economic Zone, the park is the first in the city to feature a dedicated industrial focus. Over the past year, it has grown from an emerging innovation hub into a dynamic industrial base, attracting more than 200 technology-driven enterprises and introducing nearly 50 manufacturers and institutions.

Its growing ecosystem now covers the entire low-altitude industry chain, from new materials and component production to aircraft manufacturing, airspace management, flight services, inspection and testing, and low-altitude data services.

To strengthen industrial investment, the park established the Tiankai Dongli Guidance Fund totaling 500 million yuan (about $70 million). The fund completed its first equity investment in the Beijing UCAS Technology project, marking a successful launch for the park's investment-driven development model.

By the end of September 2024, Tiankai Dongli Park had completed the construction of its exhibition and office facilities, opening up 26,800 square meters of space for enterprise move-in.

Leveraging the research and talent advantages of the Civil Aviation University of China, the park has built an end-to-end innovation chain, resulting in 392 technology transfers valued at 71 million yuan and total output nearing 400 million yuan.

On May 12, 2025, the park released China's first wide-temperature vertical takeoff fixed-wing UAV — a Dongli-developed aircraft now used for emergency response, public security, and mapping — highlighting the district's growing strength in advanced low-altitude technologies.
