Recently, the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) Tianjin Testing Center, located in Dongli district, was listed as a "world-class specialized and innovative demonstration enterprise" by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

Founded in 1987, the CATARC Tianjin Testing Center is an independent third-party automotive product testing and technical service institution with great influence in the industry.
