This year, Dongli will strive to introduce a number of high-quality projects by focusing on industrial chain investment and market-oriented investment. Focusing on leading industries, such as high-end equipment, new generation automobile technology, biomedicine and medical equipment, it will cooperate with local leading enterprises to carry out industrial chain extension; the construction of industrial parks, such as Kunding Industrial Park and Liandong Industrial Park, will be further accelerated; it will introduce the high-quality cultural innovation, education resources and medical resources of Beijing to improve regional supporting functions.
Dongli takes actions to improve peoples' livelihoods
This year, Dongli district will renovate more than 140,000 square meters of five residential areas, involving projects such as roof waterproofing, residential pipe networks, residential pavements and street lamp maintenance.
In terms of optimizing its education resources, Dongli will complete the construction of two primary schools and three kindergartens, with 2,700 new compulsory education opportunities and 900 preschool education opportunities being added. In addition, Dongli will also build a school covering both middle and high school, with a total construction area of 16,000 square meters and 36 teaching classes. It is planned to start construction in the first half of this year and be completed in 2024.
As for improving its medical resources, the new site of Tianjin Third Central Hospital (Dongli) started construction at the end of 2022 and will be put into operation in 2027. Upon completion, the hospital is expected to have 1,200 beds and its daily reception of outpatient and emergency services will be about 6,000.
Additionally, Dongli will also make efforts to improve its urban environment. 7 small-sized parks will be built near residential areas, with a total area of 9,400 square meters; 40 urban roads will be renovated; and a community park, with an area of 28,000 square meters, will be completed and open to the public in the second half of this year.
