On Feb 7, the Coordinated Development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region - Investment Environment Symposium of Dongli district was held in the Beijing office of the Tianjin Municipal People's Government. Thirteen enterprises, covering cultural creativity, cultural tourism, medical equipment, urban renewal, and other industries, participated in the symposium. Yuan Xinhe, director of the Beijing Office of the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, and Jia Di, deputy secretary of CPC Dongli district Committee and head of Dongli district, attended the meeting.
In recent years, Dongli district has taken the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region as its key work, and has given full play to its own advantages to actively undertake the relief of Beijing's non-capital functions. It has introduced over 1,000 high-quality projects to settle in Dongli, with an agreed investment of nearly 150 billion yuan (about $22 billion).
Dongli is located between the central urban area of Tianjin and the Binhai New Area. With its unique geographical advantages, Dongli has gathered scientific research institutes represented by the Tianjin Research Institute for Advanced Equipment, Tsinghua University, and has a large number of industrial leading projects, including for the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, China First Heavy Industries, the State Grid Corporation of China, and Istar Aerospace Science and Technology. Based on this, Dongli district has constantly optimized its business environment to support the development of enterprises.
Yuan highlighted that Dongli has achieved outstanding results in promoting the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. In the future, it needs to continue to strengthen the work of attracting investment in Beijing, providing high-quality services for enterprises, and enabling entrepreneurs to invest in Tianjin.
In 2023, Dongli has formulated a three-year action plan for investment introduction, innovative economic development, emerging consumption and other fields to accelerate its construction of a green valley of scientific and technological innovation and its new urban area.
