During the Spring Festival holiday, through enriched shopping activities, the consumption potential of Dongli continued to be tapped, seeing the consumer market rebound.
According to the Dongli Commerce Bureau, the footfall of key commercial complexes monitored reached 900,000, and the sales volume exceeded 100 million yuan (about $15 million).
Wanda Plaza in Dongli held a series of themed activities to celebrate Chinese New Year, which attracted 300,000 customers, with sales exceeding 50 million yuan, up 158% and 380% respectively year-on-year.
The accommodation and catering market was booming, with the revenue of key hotels reaching 13 million yuan. Evergrande Hotel Tianjin Dongli Lake received more than 20,000 people and its sales revenue reached 5.5 million yuan, up 789% and 285% respectively year-on-year.
In terms of tourism, Tianjin Happy Valley, Evergrande Hot Spring Tourist Area and other A-level tourist attractions in the region created "snow + folk customs" activities, integrating with dragon and lion dance, acrobatics, Peking Opera and other folk performances, in a bid to enable tourists to fully experience local folk culture in winter, achieve consumption growth and promote cultural inheritance. During Spring Festival, the A-level tourist attractions in Dongli received 43,000 tourists, with a sales revenue of 9.8 million yuan, up 50% and 487% respectively year-on-year, and the tourism consumption market gradually recovered.

To further stimulate consumption, the local government will issue the second batch of shopping coupons from Feb 3 to Mar 31.
