Huaming High-Tech Zone approved as national intellectual property pilot park

Recently, Huaming High-Tech Zone was approved as a national intellectual property pilot park. Following the construction of the national intellectual property pilot demonstration park in December 2016, this approval has brought new opportunities for the development of the intellectual property service industry of the zone.

Huaming High-Tech Zone was approved as a Tianjin intellectual property pilot park and national intellectual property pilot park in 2016, and as a Tianjin intellectual property town in 2017. The zone attracted the Patent Examination Cooperation (Tianjin) Center of the Patent Office and scientific and technological innovation platforms, such as the Tianjin Research Institute for Advanced Equipment, Tsinghua University and Joinscience (Tianjin) Science and Technology Business Incubator Co., Ltd.. By consolidating intellectual property work and introducing well-known service institutions and financial institutions from Beijing and Tianjin, it has strived to build an intellectual property service industry cluster.

The Dongli government and the zone have been expanding the ranks of patent enterprises, enhancing enterprises’ awareness of intellectual property rights and their innovation ability, improving the technological and innovative service and supporting the innovative development of enterprises so as to better achieve the upgrading of the industry.

Intellectual property services have become an important industry in Huaming High-Tech Zone. After several years of construction, there are 104 national high-tech enterprises, 120 national technology-oriented medium-sized and small enterprises, 13 strategic emerging enterprises, and 3 municipal industrial technology research institutes. By the end of 2021, 2,671 effective patents had been obtained, including 717 invention patents and 243 patent enterprises.

Huaming High-Tech Zone will continue to build a national intellectual property pilot park with high standards and lead the development of the intellectual property service industry.
