The economic development of Dongli in the first half of 2022

Facing the pressure of international inflation in the first half of this year, the economy of Dongli district has shown the trend of growth and full potential for development. Dongli has taken a solid step to comprehensively build a scientific and technological innovation hub.

In the first half of 2022, Dongli has realized a GDP of 33.41 billion yuan (about $5 billion), with 0.2 percentage higher than that of Tianjin. At the beginning of this year, the government introduced 25 policies and measures to stabilize the economic development. It focused on the following efforts: upgrading of enterprise innovation chain, industrial chain and supply chain; strengthening the construction of modern logistics system; building a green ecological barrier, and aiming for energy conservation and emission reduction. Dongli has been working on stimulating development in all aspects, including the manufacturing industry, rural revitalization and ecological protection.

This year, Dongli has cultivated 65 municipal level enterprises, 13 national level enterprises, 18 small and medium-sized enterprises. There are 462 national high-tech enterprises in Dongli, and more than 1,000 enterprises have completed their innovation transformation. Relying on the industrial and technological advantages in the first half of the year, the enterprises in the region have completed an output value of 49.12 billion yuan.

Furthermore, the production capacity of the automobile industry increased significantly with a total output value of 6.44 billion yuan. The pharmaceutical industry has achieved a new leap, achieving an output value of 2.49 billion yuan. Some 120 service enterprises in the region realized an income of 4.08 billion yuan with an increase of 5.9%.

Next, Dongli will continue to improve its public services and increase financial investments in education, medical care, elderly care and other areas related to people's quality of life.
