This year, Dongli gives priority to improve the domestic ability on river and lake management, carrying out 2022 “Clear rivers and lakes” special action, which achieves practical results.
This special action aims at water quality improvement, garbage elimination, flood management and other issues. In summer, it is very easily to see the massive cyanobacteria outbreak, and improper management could result in river pollution. Under these circumstances, in addition to implementing measures such as strengthening river cleaning and increasing aeration and oxygen, Dongli River (lake) Governor’s Office has also strengthened the layout of ecological floating islands to improve the self-purification capacity of rivers.

In total, 42 tons of floating garbage on the river surface and 75 tons of garbage on the embankment have been cleaned up; nearly 8,000-square-meter-area along the river have been reclaimed; 83 illegal vessels have been investigated; 66 water-blocking nets have been removed. Accordingly, the water quality has been improved significantly, and 2022 “Clear rivers and lakes” special action has achieved remarkable results.
