Binhai International Flower Technology Park is located in the Dongli Lake area, between downtown Tianjin and the Binhai New Area. Built in 2008 and covering an area of 230.53 hectares, the park has a 7,000-square-meter tissue culture research and development center, a 300,000-square-meter smart greenhouse, a 60,000-square-meter tall greenhouse, a 28,000-square-meter exhibition and trading center, a 20,000-square-meter greenhouse material processing workshop, and a 7,000-square-meter comprehensive management service center. The second phase of the park’s intelligent greenhouse, covering an area of 300,000 square meters, is under construction. Now the flower park is the most intelligent and largest flower production base in China.
In 2015, it was rated as third in the world and first in Asia by the International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH). The main flower varieties are Lotus Lantern, Anthurium, Arrowroot, and Firebird Banana, and they are sold all over the country.
Besides flower planting exhibition, seedling cultivation research, and intelligent greenhouse design, the park provides tourists with services of leisure, sightseeing, catering, and popular science. It has a large flower exhibition hall, a flower tissue culture center, and a large intelligent greenhouse to keep visitors entertained and educated.
