Chadian Subdistrict is located in the eastern part of Tianjin, in the northern area of the Binhai New Area. Positioned in the Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan region, it is bordered by the Jiyun River to the east, Qinghe Farm to the west, Beitang Subdistrict to the south, and stretches northward to Qilihai Town in Ninghe County. Covering a total area of 54.29 square kilometers, Chadian Subdistrict is home to 68,100 residents across 29,400 households. The subdistrict is comprised of 12 communities and 12 villages.

Chadian Subdistrict boasts a vibrant business environment, with a total of 207 enterprises. Among these, 17 are dedicated to agriculture, and 92 are involved in various industrial sectors. Notably, the subdistrict is home to four nationally recognized high-tech enterprises, three science and technology-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises at the national level, and one promising start-up enterprise. Collectively, these entities have amassed an impressive count of 1,324 patents.

The industrial landscape of Chadian Subdistrict is characterized by four key sectors: traditional chemical manufacturing, modern building materials production, wine brewing, and automotive parts manufacturing. In addition, the subdistrict is focused on developing the grape rural tourism industry, with the Chadian Grape Science and Technology Park and the Dujun Garden as the leading projects. This initiative follows the business model of "leading enterprises + cooperatives + farmers." Furthermore, Chadian Subdistrict features cultural industries, exemplified by the 33 Cultural Block and the International Print Collecting Museum.

Chadian is celebrated for its abundant production of fragrant rose grapes and is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Fragrant Rose Grapes." The "Chadian" brand of fragrant rose grapes is the first registered agricultural product in Tianjin and holds national recognition as a well-known trademark and a product of national geographical protection. It has consistently won the gold medal at the National Agricultural Expo for many years.

In 2022, Chadian's fragrant rose grapes were selected as a demonstration area for the protection of national geographical indication products. The standardized grape planting area reached 600 mu (40 hectares), with an additional area of nearly 1,000 mu (67 hectares) dedicated to cultivating new grape varieties. The development of the Baotian Rural Revitalization Demonstration Village project and the establishment of a promotion and service center for rural revitalization have further enhanced the brand effect of these distinctive agricultural products.

Chadian also boasts a distinct advantage in cultural industries. By focusing on unique cultural elements such as Feicha (a traditional throwing dart game), Ping Opera, woodblock printing, root carving pottery, handmade paper cutting and weaving, and the Grape Cultural Tourism Festival, the subdistrict showcases itse cultural atmosphere. Leveraging the expertise of inheritors of national and municipal intangible cultural heritage projects, as well as folk artists, Chadian is creating a cultural district featuring a variety of cultural landmarks. The area explores and celebrates its regional cultural heritage, including grape culture, canal culture, and the Feicha intangible cultural heritage project, bringing these tradition to life for both residents and visitors.
