A forum as a preclude to the 7th World Intelligence Congress (WIC) which is due to open on May 18 - " Innovation China " Green Petrochemical Industry High Quality Development Forum was held in Yujiapu International Finance Conference Center in Binhai New Area on May 8.

The petrochemical industry，which is a traditional pillar industry in Tianjin, has formed a spatial layout of petrochemical industry with Nangang Industrial Zone in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) as the main carrier, becoming an important petrochemical industry base in the Bohai Sea region. 

After ten years of development, more than 140 industrial projects have been landed in Nangang Industrial Zone of TEDA, with a cumulative investment of more than 180 billion yuan($25.94 billion). In the first quarter, the petrochemical industry in TEDA completed industrial output value of 26 billion yuan, an increase of 9.5 percent year-on-year, and industrial value added increased by 9.9 percent.
