Chinese delegation to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games:

We are glad to hear that Yan Wengang, an athlete from Tianjin, won China's first ever bronze medal in the skeleton event of the Winter Olympics with a cumulative time of four minutes and 1.77 seconds in four runs at the National Sliding Center in Yanqing of Beijing on February 11. He showed no fear against powerful opponents in the third and fourth runs of the men's skeleton at the Beijing Winter Olympics, eventually winning honor for the country. Hereby we extend warm congratulations to the Chinese sports delegation, the Chinese skeleton team and Yan himself.

The glorious achievements made by the Chinese sports delegation represent the Chinese sports spirit and the Olympic spirit of faster, higher, stronger, together, further bolstering the morale of Tianjin’s people to overcome difficulties, work hard to build Tianjin into a strong city of sports and write a new chapter in achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Tianjin's unique efforts. We sincerely wish for the Chinese athletes to win more medals and honors for the country in the following competitions.
