2021 Tianjin International Children's Culture and Art Festival staged on July 17 in Tianjin, with 65 countries and regions across the world attending online.

In the opening ceremony, teenagers from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, with an average age of 11 years old, performed classic Chinese and foreign symphonies. The Chinese songs mark this year's celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

The event was co-hosted by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, and Tianjin Cathay Future Foundation.

Since 1998, the Tianjin International Children's Culture and Art Festival has been successfully held on nine occasions. It has provided a performance platform for nearly 10,000 children from nearly 100 countries and regions with different languages, ethnic groups, and cultural backgrounds.

"Tianjin is an open, inclusive and vibrant city. We believe that the art festival will become a common stage for children from all over the world," said Cao Xiaohong, deputy mayor of Tianjin.

"Let us sing and smile together to make positive contributions to advancing cultural exchange and mutual learning, promoting mutual understanding among nations, and the building of a worldwide community with a shared future for mankind.”
