The promotional meeting (Tianjin) for the "Single-Window" China-Singapore Pilot Project, a one-stop shared office platform, was held on July 16 at the Singapore Centre in the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City.

Established by Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Investment and Development Co., Ltd. (SSTEC), the Singapore Centre provides an attractive and cost-effective platform for Singapore and international companies to enter the Eco-City, Tianjin and North China markets.

The “Single Window” was jointly launched by Singapore and China to promote trade between the two countries, provide support for foreign trade companies in their overseas ventures, strengthen international cooperation and create new competitive advantages. The exchange of cargo declaration data between the two countries under this project will help to prevent duplication of company data records and facilitate customs clearance procedures. By holding the promotional meeting at the Singapore Centre, more companies will be encouraged to explore and benefit from this platform, and its demonstrative effect as a pilot project can then be amplified.

Tan Jun Han, DCEO of SSTEC, shared how the Singapore Centre helps Singapore companies to enter the Eco-City, Tianjin and North China markets.

Tan Jun Han said: "We are glad to offer the Singapore Centre as the venue for this promotional meeting to enable more companies to learn how they can benefit from it. Both the “Single Window” and the Singapore Centre share a common goal of fostering trade and economic cooperation between Singapore and China. SSTEC, as the Eco-City’s master developer, hopes that the Singapore Centre and the “Single Window” can work in tandem to create synergies that will enhance the business environment in the Eco-City, promote regional economic growth, strengthen economic and trade ties and deepen bilateral cooperation between Singapore and China."

Representatives from Tianjin Customs, Tianjin Commission of Commerce, the China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Administrative Committee (ECAC), SSTEC and more than 50 companies attended the meeting, where they were briefed on the project’s functions, current status and upcoming plans, as well as the successful experience of the first company that participated in the project.
