Mars Inc to establish pet food plant in Tianjin

Tianjin has recently signed an agreement with Mars Incorporated to establish a pet food plant in the city.

The management committee of Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area and Mars Inc. signed the investment cooperation agreement on Feb 11.

The contracted pet food factory project has invested more than $100 million with registered capital of $40 million.

Covering an area of about 110,000 square meters with expected production of 250,000 tonnes, the new factory is expected to become one of the most advanced pet food plants of Mars Inc. across the world, according to the management committee.
