The eco-city started on September 28, 2008 and has now developed into an ecological new city with abundant resources, good environment, economic prosperity and social harmony. As the next step, it will strive to become a model city for sustainable development with global influence.
"Committed to the mission of "building a high-end policy platform for the scientific development of China's cities", we hope that the forum can 'go out' to where it touches the pulse of times. Among the cities in line with the development concept of the new era and regional development characteristics, we have chosen Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City as the forum location. This year coincides with the 10th anniversary of the construction of the eco-city which has undergone tremendous changes," said Lin Fenghua, secretary-general of the National Urban Development Mayor Forum.
The mayors' forum is a brand activity of Xinhua News Agency Outlook Weekly which has been successfully held five times since 2012.
