The freight train, carrying 545.49 tons of Canadian flaxseed from Tianjin Port, arrived in Zhengzhou,Henan province on Sept. 27. This marks the official operation of the first and only imported grain port in inland China.
As an important trade port in northern China, Tianjin Port grows in importance as grain market connection strengthens between countries along the route and China.

The sea-rail transit transportation not only saved Henan grain enterprise a lot of trouble in customs clearance and transportation, but also cut costs and improved economic efficiency which in turn increases competitiveness.
