Parent-targeted schools will be established within kindergartens, primary and middle schools, and vocational schools in Tianjin Binhai New Area with coverage of not less than 95 percent.
The schools will provide at least two sessions of domestic education based on activities in kindergartens, primary and middle schools, and one session in vocational schools.
The priority course is safety education. As every kid gets a related lesson, parents will also receive timely reminders of any potential problems teachers experience in school.
In the meantime, Binhai will cultivate domestic education social workers to form a relatively settled community home teaching base.
It will cooperate with colleges and universities and scientific research institutions to develop a suitable group of teachers for the parent-targeted schools. A specialized online platform will also be built to optimize domestic education.
Families in remote areas that lack educational resources will not be overlooked. The New Area pays extra attention to underprivileged families and their children. Measures will include setting up files and data bases, monitoring key families and following children's development.
Binhai New Area highly values training taken before certain events are set in motion. Classrooms are to be provided in the marriage registration office to gradually implement a pre-marital training system for prospective couples, and in maternity and child care institutions to provide education on raising kids and preventing postpartum depression.
