The lighting project of the Longmen Grottoes scenic spot in Luoyang, Central China's Henan province, was put into operation in 2012. It is the largest lighting project of grottoes-themed scenic spots in China. By applying advanced stereographic projection technology, the lighting project revivifies the Buddhist culture and stone carving art dating back to the glorious age of the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907).

It uses LED lighting and wireless communication technology to protect relics. The ancient grottoes are brought to life by modern lighting technologies.
