In order to help cross-border e-commerce companies and advance the "express delivery overseas" project, Xiamen in Fujian province recently announced a series of supportive measures.

Seeing this as an opportunity, Xiamen will continue to advise the postal express companies on how to take advantage of the potential of cross-border e-commerce development and advance the sector through resource sharing and growth collaboration.

According to the measures, Xiamen assists businesses in implementing independent stations' cross-border e-commerce business models and provides financial aid to brand corporations who partner with independent stations once they reach a particular level of commercial success.

For instance, subsidies of 200,000 yuan ($28,115.2) and 300,000 yuan would be offered to businesses who have independent brands and cross-border transaction volumes of independent stations that reached and exceeded 20 million yuan and 50 million yuan in the previous calendar year.

Xiamen also supports each district to introduce high-energy consolidation warehouse projects that serve renowned cross-border e-commerce third-party platforms.

On the basis of the supporting policies in each district, annual rewards of 500,000 yuan, 1 million yuan and 2 million yuan will be given to the operators of the cross-border warehouses that reache 100 million yuan, 300 million yuan, and 500 million yuan, respectively, in the previous calendar year.

According to the measures, Xiamen also supports the establishment and application of cross-border e-commerce integrated service platforms.

For self-owned online cross-border e-commerce integrated service platforms, companies that served more than five Xiamen companies in the previous year and whose export income through the platform exceeded 500 million yuan, will be offered a one-time reward of 200,000 yuan.

The measures also state that Xiamen supports cross-border e-commerce supply chain platform projects, and will provide a one-time subsidy of 1 million yuan to platform companies with an annual cross-border transaction volume of more than 300 million yuan on the supply chain platform, have more than 1,000 active merchants on the platform, and a factory area of more than 10,000 square meters.
