Statistics showed that from Oct 1 to 6, Xiamen Port Holding Group Co's major terminals docked 130 vessels and completed a total container throughput of nearly 150,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).

The vessels included the 399.9-meter-long MSC Gulsun, which is one of the world's largest container ships that can load 23,000 containers.

The capacity of Xiamen Port to provide services is challenged by busy traffic and operations. To maintain productivity during the National Day holiday, workers at the front of the terminals worked alongside bridge cranes, container trucks, and other mechanical equipment.

Xiamen Port's full development vitality and potential, as well as the city's current economic and social stabilization and progress, were both highlighted by the bustling container shipping business during the holiday.
