The 2022 Xiamen Industry Exposition (XMIE) will take place at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center from July 7 to 10, the organizing committee announced at a press conference on July 4.
This year's expo will have a total exhibition area of 75,000 square meters and more than 1,500 international and domestic brands from nearly 800 companies will showcase their products.
The exhibits will cover upstream, midstream and downstream channels of the industrial manufacturing sector, which include smart manufacturing, numerically controlled machine tools, moulds, cutters, industrial software, engineering machinery, printing and packaging, as well as new energy and new materials.
The organizing committee has invited over 100 professional procurement groups consisting of more than 70,000 people to attend the expo.
During the four-day event, more than 20 forums, seminars, technological exchanges, matchmakings and new product launching activities will be held.
This year's expo also cooperates with the B2B procurement platform that is affiliated with Chinese tech giant Baidu to set up an immersive product experience area.
In addition, the organizing committee has developed a "cloud XMIE" WeChat mini program, which will provide online services for exhibitors and buyers, such as online exhibitions, livestreams and online matchmakings.
Officials said that the expo will carry out strict epidemic prevention and control measures to ensure the health and safety of all participants.
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
