Xiamen's SME business environment given top marks

Xiamen in Fujian province was ranked the first in the province in an assessment of business environment for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The assessment involved a comprehensive investigation and evaluation of 10 areas including finance and taxation, financing, innovation, entrepreneurship, market development, services, as well as the protection of rights and interests.

As the business environment for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises has been consistently improved, the latest satisfaction score from the sampled enterprises is higher than in 2019.

The finance and taxation, financing, innovation, market development, and services scores of Xiamen topped the rankings. Xiamen's overall score was 73.15.

Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province, took second place in the assessment.
