Warm-up investment promotions held for 21st CIFIT

The 21st China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) kicked off in Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Sept 8.

As one of the most influential fairs in the world, CIFIT has attracted various delegations to Xiamen to carry out investment promotions before its official opening.

Shaxian district of Sanming city in Fujian province held an investment promotion on Sept 6, attracting more than 200 merchants. During this event, the district signed 22 contract projects involving high-end mechanical equipment, new energy, and supporting materials for 5G industry.

Relying on the advantages of the CIFIT, Shaxian district has achieved fruitful results in investment, said Wu Jiancheng, Party secretary of the district.

Xiamen's six districts, the Xiamen Area of the China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries also arranged promotional events to attract investment.

For instance, the Huli district of Xiamen invited nearly 200 merchants, including Global Fortune 500 companies and listed companies like JD Group, Yango Holdings, and Feiyu Technology to boost investment. The district will hold three to five one-on-one project match-making conferences to further promote investment.

As the guest province of honor at the CIFIT, Qinghai province has set up a 500-square-meter exhibition area to showcase about 40 brand companies and special local products.

The Philippines is attending this year's CIFIT as the guest country of honor and will hold three investment forums during the event.

"More than just a one-stop-shopping service for multilateral investment cooperation, CIFIT will also help you to select from the widest range of investment projects and business partners from around the world," said Philippine Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez.
