Seminar held to prepare for upcoming CIFIT

Experts in China were invited to share their opinions on the organization of the 2021 CIFIT at a seminar held in Beijing on April 22.
The seminar was sponsored by the China Society of World Trade Organization (CWTO) and the organizing committee of the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT).

Chen Haoying, deputy director of the conference affairs department of CIFIT's organizing committee, introduced the preparations, highlights and features of this year's CIFIT.

Chen noted that the 2021 CIFIT will highlight bilateral cooperation, scientific and technological innovation, and digital-empowered investment attraction.
The exhibition held during the event is expected to have three major exhibition areas with a total area of 130,000 square meters, according to Chen.
He added that esteemed guests from national chambers of commerce, Global Fortune 500 companies, and renowned private companies will be invited to attend a series of forums and conferences, including the International Investment Forum.
Experts at the seminar spoke highly of the preparations of the upcoming CIFIT and also offered their advice on the online CIFIT and topics for CIFIT's forums.

Chong Quan, chairman of CWTO, suggested that CIFIT should leverage its strengths to highlight two-way investment promotion and pursue innovation.The 2021 CIFIT is scheduled to take place in Xiamen from Sept 8-11. Last year, the four-day fair attracted 1,018 trading groups, including 248 overseas enterprises from 69 countries and regions and over 2,300 deals worth more than 800 billion yuan ($117 billion) were signed during the fair.
