This year's fair will include a 6,500-square meter exhibition area to showcase exquisite handiworks from Jinmen, Nantou and other cities and counties in Taiwan and will host the largest number of Taiwan companies in the history of the event.

Taiwan companies will account for one third of the total exhibitors.

He added that young people from both the Chinese mainland and Taiwan will be the focus of the fair this year, and Ming Chuan University, Shu-Te University, Shih Chien University and other universities in Taiwan will send a delegation to the event.

The fair plans to set up an exhibition area for the Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, which will be held in Xiamen this year, according to Fu Guoqiang, deputy director of Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism.

Sponsored by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Radio and Television Administration and Fujian Provincial Government, the fair aims to improve cross-Straits exchange and cooperation in cultural industries and cement Xiamen's place in cross-Straits exchange.
