Xiamen free trade zone signs deals at CIFIT

A batch of leading enterprises from various sectors signed deals with the Xiamen free trade zone administration at the 2015 China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), held in Xiamen, Fujian province, from Sept 8 to 11.

At a deal-signing ceremony on Sept 9, the zone's administration inked deals involving 46.6 billion yuan ($7.3 billion) worth of investment from 72 projects.

A staff member of the administration said that a number of new partners were gained as a result of the signings, including Bunge Group, the world's leading food producer headquartered at White Plains, United States; Price Waterhouse Coopers Consulting (PwC); China-based Going Green, an online marketplace for traditional Chinese medicinal materials; and the national cross-Straits copyright trade center.

The national cross-Straits copyright trade center was unveiled at the Xiamen free trade zone on June 11. It offers copyright-related services, copyright protection and financing for cultural and creative digital publications.
