Houston eyes to attract Chinese firms

A seminar, titled "Houston's Business Opportunities, Investment and Immigration Law", will kick off on September 8, at Xiamen, Fujian province.

The seminar is co-organized by the Greater Houston Partnership, an economic development organization serving Greater Houston area, and Xiamen General Chamber of Commerce with the aim of attracting Chinese enterprises to start businesses in Houston. Lectures on the landscape of Woodlands, a master-planned community in the US state of Texas, the way to invest hotels as well as the way to finance in US will be given at the seminar.

Huston, located in southern US, is designated as a global city for its achievements in energy industry, manufacturing, life science and international transportation. The city has a population of 400,000 Asian Americans and has the largest Chinatown in the US.

Apart from its industrial advantages, favorable policies are also available to companies that plan to expand their businesses in Houston. This seminar will also offer an opportunity to develop cooperation between Chinese enterprises and those in Houston.
