Trade fair packed with activities
The Fujian provincial government held a press conference in Fuzhou on July 28 to share news related to the 19th China International Fair for Investment & Trade.
More than 1,000 exhibitors are expected to participate in the fair, which will introduce 30,000 investment projects and host 1,000 match-making activities, according to Ni Chao, deputy mayor of Xiamen.
The fair will take place at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. According to Ni, the overall exhibition area of the fair will cover 100,000 square meters at the center.
Liu Depei, deputy head of Fujian's commerce department, outlined the work that the Fujian delegation had done in preparation for the fair.
Wang Qiongwen, head of the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Convention & Exhibition Affairs, announced that Ma Yun, chairman of Alibaba Group, will address the fair and attend an Internet-themed conference planned as part of the fair.
The 2015 CIFIT will open in Xiamen on Sept 8. This year, the fair will focus on the Belt and Road Initiative and industrial innovation, making it a high profile expo in the investment field.
