Xiamen to launch credit information system
The first credit information system of Xiamen in east China’s Fujian province was put into a test run on April 22, according to the city’s municipal Development and Reform Commission.
Currently, 2.2million units of credit information in 180 categories were collected by the authority, stored in 2 websites and 2 databases, which can be accessed by both the government and authorized individuals.
The authority is now improving the system and formulating a reward and punishment mechanism. By 2017, credit information data will expected be shared by users in every district in the city, which will reach 100% coverage by 2020.

As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
