Xiamen FTZ upgrades tax services
A series of measures aimed at offering more effective and convenient tax services to investors have been put into operation in the Xiamen section of the Fujian Free Trade Zone (FTZ), according to the Xiamen Municipal Office of the State Administration of Taxation (SAT).
There are currently 18 examination and approval services and 5 types of identification document applications that can be completed on the SAT’s online platform. The office is working hard on a further 12 services concerning tax registration, invoice application, tax reduction or exemption. Once the services are available, all documents and invoices will be sent via delivery services to save clients time and effort.
A new smart phone application also allows tax payers to easily keep in touch with the authority, make suggestions or complaints and make appointments with experts. Alternatively, tax payers can also visit the authority’s consultation office.
A group of enterprises with solid reputations in the FTZ Xiamen section were recently singled out as “A level tax-payers” and will receive an offer of a package of preferential policies.

Why Xiamen
-
Xiamen is one of the most economically competitive cities in China and was one of the first Special Economic Zones on the Chinese mainland. As a vice-provincial city independently listed on the State development plan, it has provincial-level authority in economic administration and local legislative power. In 2010, the Xiamen SEZ was expanded to cover the entire municipality. Today, Xiamen is a modern and international port city.
