Xiamen Mayor urges e-business development

The mayor of Xiamen, Pei Jinjia, urged the acceleration of the city’s e-commerce development at a governmental conference on March 6.

The conference reviewed a document regarding the promotion of the e-commerce industry which was drafted by the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce. Pei assured the policies are realistic and implementable.

Pei made calls to strengthen governmental support for constructing professional and centralized e-commerce bases. He also said that Xiamen should foster matched logistic enterprises to guarantee e-commerce delivery and stressed the importance of training professionals and encouraging traditional industrial enterprises to apply e-commerce aspects to their businesses.
