HK's gov't delegation to visit Fujian

HONG KONG - Hong Kong's Chief Secretary for Administration Carrie Lam will lead a delegation of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government officials to Fujian Province for the first Hong Kong/Fujian Cooperation Conference from Thursday to Saturday, said the HKSAR government on Monday.

According to the HKSAR government, the meeting will mainly discuss ways of enhancing cooperation in economic, trade as well as financial fronts between Hong Kong and Fujian.

Lam and Zheng Xiaosong, vice governor of Fujian, will co-chair the conference in the capital Fuzhou.

The delegation will visit Fuzhou, Quanzhou and Xiamen to learn about their latest development.

During the visit, the delegation will meet leaders of Fujian Province, Quanzhou and Xiamen and visit local enterprises there.

They will also meet with Hong Kong people living, doing business and studying in Fujian to better understand their lives there.

Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Raymond Tam and Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Chang King-yiu will accompany Lam to Fujian.
