The unveiling ceremony of a financial justice big data research center was held at the Beijing Financial Court (BFC) on Sept 28. It will also serve as a research base on financial justice big data for the Supreme People's Court (SPC). Liu Guixiang, member of the SPC judicial committee (vice-ministerial level), attended and addressed the ceremony.

Liu said that the establishment of the center is a key innovation achievement in the financial trial system, as well as a positive exploration on judicial digitalization reform, which will enhance the professional level of financial trials and better serve the implementation of the nations’ financial strategies.

He reiterated to further promote digital and intelligent transformation of financial justice, explore new working models, empower financial trials with big data to serve law-based financial governance, and strengthen capacity building, in a bid to build the center into one that boasts data clustering, research, policy synergy and talent fostering.

The center aims to propel the in-depth research and application of financial justice big data, and fully tap the BFC’s advantages of being located in the country’s financial management center and its bridging role in connecting legislative organs, supervision departments, industrial associations, financial institutions, and financial consumers and investors.
