Noting that the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) stressed that the country should fully implement the Party's educational policy, carry out the basic task of fostering virtue through education, and nurture a new generation of capable young people with a sound moral grounding, intellectual ability, physical vigor, aesthetic sensibility, and work skills, who will fully develop socialism and carry forward the socialist cause, Zhang said that the Spring Bud project has closely followed the development trend of the times, fully met the expectations of girls, and expanded the content and scope of its coverage and services over the years.
Zhang said that the inauguration of the "Spring Bud Dream Chorus" was an important measure for the CCTF in implementing the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, enhancing girls' comprehensive quality through aesthetic education and strengthening their ideological education.
Thanks to joint efforts of people from all social sectors, the "Spring Bud Dream Chorus" has enjoyed positive development, Zhang said, and added that the participation of many famous artists will further increase the teaching level of the chorus and help it spread fine Chinese and foreign music and arts and carry forward traditional Chinese musical culture.
At last, Zhang called on teachers with the "Spring Bud Dream Chorus" to take the training event as a new starting point, integrate advanced educational philosophies and scientific teaching methods into their daily work, win the trust of girls through music, and endeavor to become a guardian for girls in the pursuit of music. She also urged more social force to get involved in public-interest affairs of children and to strive in unity to be guides for children's growth, be guardians of children's rights and interests, and builders of children's future.
In his speech, Zhang with FAW Audi Sales said that the organization of the training session will be a new starting point for its cooperation with the CCTF, and hoped that the public-interest training event will plant the seed of the arts into the hearts of rural children and encourage them to be self-reliant, have enterprise, and develop into a new generation capable of shouldering the mission of national rejuvenation.

In addition, committee members held dialogues with school representatives over the important role played by the "Spring Bud Dream Chorus" in ensuring the availability of quality education for girls, achieving educational fairness and promoting the balanced development of educational resources. They also made proposals on further increasing the competence of the chorus in economically underdeveloped areas and bolstering the artistic literary of girls.
The three-day training session brought together 50 teachers nationwide, who received education and guidance on basic theoretical knowledge, conducting techniques, training methods, student selection and the application of traditional chorus skills.
The public-interest chorus program was jointly unveiled by the CCTF, the Tencent Foundation, and FAW Audi Sales in 2022, in response to the call made by Chinese First Lady Peng Liyuan - also a special envoy of the Spring Bud project for the advancement of girls' education - on the further implementation of the "Spring Bud Project - Dream of the Future Action" initiative. It is aimed at recruiting and building the "Spring Bud Dream Chorus" in schools of ethnic minority areas and helping girls unleash their musical potential and realize their personal dreams in music.
