Pudong New Area held a service conference for the sci-tech innovation board on Nov 28, launching measures to reinforce innovation, establish overseas intellectual property (IP) resources, and enhance trademarks protection for emerging high-tech enterprises.
The event unveiled the first batch of overseas IP cooperation units, the fourth Pudong New Area's key trademarks protection list, and the guidelines for open-source software IP layout and risk prevention, providing companies with clear frameworks to manage innovation risks.
The open-source software guidelines cover licensing, community analysis, IP layout, and risk prevention, helping enterprises build internal governance systems, avoid legal disputes, and strengthen full-chain IP protection across leading industries.
The fifth set of sci-tech board listing standards now includes artificial intelligence, commercial aerospace, and the low-altitude economy, expanding beyond biomedicine. Pudong New Area's IP service stations assist companies using — and contributing to — open-source software with compliance guidance and risk assessment tools.
Under Pudong New Area's key trademarks protection regulations, 28 companies, including Gillette and Atour, with 66 registered trademarks, were added to the fourth protection list, reflecting market risks and the need for priority safeguarding.
Six regional IP protection centers signed the cross-regional rapid IP protection cooperation agreement to establish multi-level dispute resolution mechanisms, strengthen exhibition IP protection, and coordinate cross-regional collaboration for local enterprises.
The agreement aims to integrate regional advantages, align with national strategic goals, and establish a more efficient, collaborative IP network to support the high-quality development of Pudong New Area's sci-tech enterprises and enhance innovation-driven productivity.
