The 22nd Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum is scheduled to take place in Shanghai on Oct 18, focusing on the theme "Intellectual Property and Artificial Intelligence".
This event will gather experts and scholars from around the world to share insights and strengthen global cooperation on intellectual property (IP) governance and innovation.
Co-hosted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the forum has been held annually since 2003.
Over the past 21 editions, it has developed into a high-level platform with increasing international influence. Since 2014, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and WIPO have signed three memoranda of understanding, further extending the forum's reach and impact.
The forum is highly valued by WIPO, CNIPA, and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Leaders from these organizations have frequently attended and addressed the event, which has become a key platform for showcasing China's achievements in IP protection and promoting international dialogue in the field.
This year's forum will bring together representatives from international organizations, government agencies, business associations, enterprises, universities, research institutes, and IP service providers.
Participants will exchange ideas and share best practices to strengthen IP governance, support technological innovation, and contribute to economic and social development.
