To enhance understanding of intellectual property (IP) protection policies among foreign enterprises, the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, in collaboration with the Shanghai Foreign Investment Association, recently held a policy briefing on patent application and protection.
At the event, a representative from the administration's IP Protection Division provided an overview of administrative adjudication for patent infringement disputes. This highlighted its framework and advantages. The presentation covered case acceptance and handling mechanisms, judicial integration, and collaborative protection strategies, addressing key concerns from enterprises.
Additionally, a speaker from the Pre-examination Department of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Protection Center explained procedures for patent pre-examination filing, application, and review, focusing on the latest updates to classification codes for patent pre-examination services.
Nearly 20 representatives in charge of IP-related business at foreign enterprises in Shanghai participated in the briefing.
