Shanghai IP Administration, Quinn Emanuel put forward IP collaboration

Yu Chen, deputy director general of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration (SIPA), met with Dr Marcus Grosch, managing partner of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan's German offices, and his delegation during their visit to Shanghai on Oct 25.
During the meeting, Yu provided an overview of SIPA's functions and the current state of IP protection in Shanghai.
He emphasized that benchmarking against the highest international standards, Shanghai is continuously optimizing its mechanisms in IP protection, striving to provide support services for various entities.
He said that the administration is eager to enhance communication and collaboration with Quinn Emanuel to better serve both domestic and foreign market participants in Shanghai and to continuously foster a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and international.
Marcus Grosch, along with Tang Haiyan, managing partner of Quinn Emanuel's Shanghai Office, shared insights into the development of their firm. They praised the efforts of the SIPA and expressed their firm's strong interest in deepening cooperation.
Grosch said that Quinn Emanuel has a specialized team and extensive experience in IP litigation and looks forward to strengthening exchanges and collaboration with SIPA.
