Shanghai hosts Intellectual Property Protection Conference
Shanghai held the Intellectual Property Protection Conference on July 26, highlighting efforts to enhance its intellectual property governance capabilities.
During the conference, Xie Dong, Shanghai's vice mayor, emphasized the importance of deepening intellectual property reforms. He highlighted enhancing governance, improving protection systems, and optimizing the business environment as key goals for the city.
Hu Wenhui, deputy head of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, praised Shanghai's achievements in intellectual property protection and stressed the need to showcase Shanghai's protection standards globally. He called for increased efforts to enhance the legal system, improve administrative and judicial protection quality, and strengthen international cooperation.
At the conference, the China National Intellectual Property Administration also announced that Shanghai's Xuhui district has received approval to build the National Intellectual Property Protection Demonstration Zone.
