A series of activities celebrating the China-WIPO 50th Anniversary were held in Geneva, Switzerland – where the World Intellectual Property Organization is headquartered – on July 6.

Shanghai displayed a comprehensive exhibition of China-WIPO cooperation. It was carefully planned by the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, or SIPA, under the guidance of the China National Intellectual Property Administration – CNIPA – and the Chinese delegation in Geneva.

The exhibition used scientific and technological elements to showcase China's achievements in IP and innovation.

It also used various mediums, such as models and videos of China's large self-developed C919 passenger aircraft, its new generation of container ships and new energy vehicles.

A hexahedral electronic cube outside the exhibition hall – which played promotional videos of CNIPA, Shanghai and Beijing – became a popular spot for representatives from all countries to take photos.

Moving forwards, plans are for Shanghai to continue to participate in global IP governance within the WIPO framework and accelerate its development as an international IP city.
