USPTO delegation visits Shanghai IP administration

A delegation from the US Patent and Trademark Office, also known as USPTO, visited the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration on May 22 and met with its deputy director general Yu Chen.

The USPTO delegation was led by Elaine Wu and Michael Mangelson, principal counsels and directors for China IP.

Yu Chen briefed the US side on the main functions and recent work of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, and answered questions on IP protection.

Elaine Wu and Michael Mangelson spoke highly of Shanghai's achievements in IP protection, and thanked the relevant departments of Shanghai for their efforts in facilitating Sino-US IP exchange. They also shared information on US patent and trademark applications and examinations, and expressed their willingness to enhance exchange and cooperation in related fields.
