She said her organization provided different measures to support the high-quality development of small and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs – including improving policy guidance, financial empowerment and supplying services.

Yang Hui, deputy director general of Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, or SIPA, said that supporting the development of small and medium-sized enterprises was beneficial for operating a city powered by IP in the new situation.

The forum was organized by SIPA and assisted by the State Intellectual Property International Operating (Shanghai) Platform, or SHIPO, the Shanghai Intellectual Property Exchange Co Ltd and the South-South Global Assets and Technology Exchange Co Ltd.

After being held for four times, the forum is said to have become an important carrier for SHIPO to serve the construction of the Shanghai Science and Innovation Center and help its international IP operations.
