Summit on intellectual property services held in Shanghai

The 2nd SIPSA International Summit on IP Services – a sub-forum of the 18th Shanghai International Intellectual Property Forum which ran in Shanghai city in East China on Oct 19-22 – took place on Oct 20.
With its theme of "Innovation Convergence, World Synergy", the forum was organized by the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration – assisted by the Shanghai Intellectual Property Services Association, or SIPSA.
Yang Hui, deputy director general of the Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration, addressed the event. He said Shanghai would further strengthen institutional supply and attract more high-quality resources, in order to promote the development of the city's IP services.
Yang added that Shanghai was striving to strengthen the construction of a public service system for IP that was convenient and beneficial to the people.
Focusing on the theme of IP services in the era of the digital economy, experts, academics and business representatives from interested fields at home and abroad shared their practical experiences and views on the latest trends.
More than 130 people from related government departments, IP service institutions, science and innovation enterprises and related associations attended the forum.
Moreover, nearly 500 people at home and abroad watched the live broadcast online.
